ZTE secures 3G upgrade contracts with KPN

Chinese telecoms equipment manufacturer ZTE Corp has won two contracts to build HSPA networks for European telecoms operator KPN of the Netherlands. Under the deal ZTE will supply HSPA platforms to upgrade the 3G networks of the Dutch telco’s German and Belgian subsidiaries E-Plus Mobilfunk and KPN Belgium (Mobistar). Upon completion the two high speed networks will be able to offer wireless data services with a maximum download speed of 21.6Mbps, it added.
