China Unicom, Coolpad launch WCDMA/GSM handset

China United Network Communications Corp. (China Unicom) has launched its first dual-mode WCDMA/GSM handset model with the help of Chinese handset maker Coolpad, the two firms announced on Jan. 5.
Zhang Zhijiang, General Manager of Technology Department of China Unicom said, after apple's iPhone, this is the second time that China Unicom launched a high-end 3G product. Various of high-end WCDMA terminals to give the domestic high-end business users a wider choices.(by Rosa)
