According to Xinhua news agency, all three of China’s cellcos reported slowing subscriber growth for the month of November. The largest, China Mobile, added 4.58 million customers to take its total subscriber base to 518 million, while China Unicom and China Telecom added 3.07 million and 1.41 million to take their totals to 146 million and 53 million respectively. Month-on-month the figures represent a 10.2% decline in the rate of growth for China Mobile and a 2.2% slowdown for China Telecom. China Unicom’s 2G users’ rate of growth dropped 24.5%, although this was offset partly by 3G customer base growth.
