T-Mobile Czech Republic's roll-out of its 3G network has entered the final stage by launching a user trial on 9 December. Initially, the 3G network is available in selected locations in Prague and will be commercially launched in January 2010. Based on HSPA technology supplied by Nokia Siemens Networks, the network allows high-speed mobile data transfers. During the trial stage, download and upload speeds will reach 3 Mbps and 1.5 Mbps. To participate in the trial, T-Mobile customers with 3G-enabled handsets need to register by sending a free SMS containing the text '3G A' to 4902. Data transfers will be billed to customers according to their standard tariff plans or data add-ons (Surf+, Surf&Mail+, Internet+ and Twist Surf+) and data tariff plans (Internet Standard, Internet Premium, Twist Internet, M2M and M2M Profi). Participants in the trial operation of the new network were invited to communicate their observations to the T-Mobile Customer Centre by calling 4603 from T-Mobile numbers. Next year, the high-speed mobile internet experience will be extended from Prague to other regional cities in the Czech Republic. T-Mobile allows customers to check the availability of new services on the coverage map.
