Sharp will commercialise its SH6230C mobile phone equipped with a solar cell module for the Chinese market from February. This will be the first solar-powered mobile phone by Sharp for the overseas markets. The SH6230C, available in blue and white, is equipped with proprietary solar cell module, a 2.9-inch LCD screen, and a 5 megapixel autofocus camera. The company will also introduce into the Chinese market SH6220C and SH6228C models, incorporating memory LCD. The SH6220C will be available in pink and black, while SH6228C is available in pink and white. Sharp also plans to bring the solar-powered mobile phones to the global markets.
