Rackspace Hosting has created two new executive-level positions in San Antonio to support and sustain the company’s market growth.

Rackspace hired Steve Mills, formerly the vice president of enterprise systems for T-Mobile USA, to become chief information officer. Mills will report to Chief Operating Officer Mark Roenigk. In Mills’ new role, he will be responsible for all technology operations and operational metrics. He will also interface with suppliers and resource providers in the IT area.

Pat Cathey is the new vice president of enterprise sales. He will report to Taylor Rhodes, vice president and general manager of enterprise services. Cathey is the former president of Avnet Electronics Embedded Solutions.

San Antonio-based Rackspace (NYSE: RAX) provides hosted information technology services, including managed hosting, cloud computing and hosting services for e-mail and applications.
