BSNL offers free VAS for new broadband subscribers

BSNL launched a new scheme offering free games on demand services, free music, free video on demand and web conferencing services for all subscribers registering from Feb 16, 2010 to April 30, 2010 for its broadband services delivered over the fixedline network.

The games on demand services are normally charged at Rs 200 per month but as mentioned will be offered for free during the offer period. BSNL says that its video on demand and music services allows subscribers to choose from over 60,000 music albums and more than 2000 video music albums including content in Hindi, English and regional languages. Normally these services are charged at Rs 149 per month.

BSNL also announced waiver of broadband installation fee (normally charged at Rs 250) for all new subscribers till March 31, 2010.
