It has been a long while (August 2009) since we saw the Model/SKU # P100UNA from Palm, which we reckon at the time it was the GSM Palm Pre for North America. Apparently we were right, Scaredy over at Howard Forums has been digging on Industry Canada’s Certification and Engineering pages, and check what he found.
There were actually two devices found on Industry Canada’s pages, as you can see on the image above. The first one is the device model number P121EWW approved since December 14th 2009, which is the CDMA Palm Pixi Plus like the one heading to Verizon wireless in a few more days, and yes, it has WiFi.
The second device is model number P100UNA, which is the GSM version of the Palm Pre and it was approved since December 2nd 2009. As you might know, the U is for UMTS, the NA is for North America and P100 is the first webOS handset. By the way, the standard CDMA Palm Pre and the original CDMA Pixi are already in the system. I bet many of our neighbors up north will be happy to know about this.
