China United Network Communications Limited (China Unicom) recently revealed its business development data for the last month of 2009. By December 31, 2009, the number of China Unicom's 2G and 3G users reached 144.85 million and 2.74 million respectively, and the numbers of the company's fixed local telephone users and broadband users reached 102.82 million and 38.55 million respectively.

In December 2009, the number of China Unicom's 2G users rose by 640,000 and the number of its 3G users including wireless Internet users rose by 920,000. At the same time, the number of the company's fixed local telephone users and broadband users rose by 2.11 million and 219,000 respectively.
