Chunghwa Telecom interested in investment in two mobile telecom carriers in Vietnam

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) is evaluating the feasibility of investing in MobiFone and VinaPhone, two mobile communication service providers belonging to state-owned Vietnam Telecom Services Company under the Vietnam Postal & Telecom Group (VNPT), according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
In addition, CHT is also interested in competing for a 3G license in Thailand, the paper said. The government will issue four 3G licenses in 2010.
